Yet More Additions (and Booking is Live)

I added a Glossary page, which was an early idea, but a feature that got put on the back burner for a while. It will take substantial reworking for the level of 'searchability' I want it to have, but for now, there is a note at the top instructing users about how they can search keywords using their browser's built-in Find function (Ctrl+/Command+F). I welcome suggestions for additions to the glossary.

I also added a Fixed-Price Services section, because it occurred to me that there are services which cannot reasonably be handled with an hourly billing metric. I once worked on a customer's computer, and found that it took around five hours to try and reinstall Windows. This was because the hard drive was completely kaput! If I'd billed her for all the time I spent waiting on that machine, I could never live with myself. The fix, incidentally, was to give her a SSD upgrade (and if you don't know what that is, refer to the new Glossary!). She didn't need her files preserved, so that was a quick procedure, but if she did want the files from the old hard drive, we would be back to dealing with a machine so slow that it seems designed to punish people paying an hourly rate for tech support.

So instead, I've decided to bill these services at the equivalent to the hourly rate it would cost if time / speed was no issue. The exception is in the corrupted disk recovery service, in which I bill only the standard minimum in the event that I make every reasonable effort to recover data from a disk, but it just cannot be done. In that case, while I believe my time and effort were worth something, I do not feel it is fair to charge even a full hour's worth of labor, given the data could not be recovered.
