Early visitors to the site may recall that I was forestalling a number of things due to surgery I had on one of my feet. I'm pleased to say that recovery is going very well, and while I need a scooter or crutches to get where I'm going, I'm back to living life normally, and I can drive myself where I need to go (as long as the car only has two pedals!).
With this in mind, I've reneged somewhat on the plan to not accept bookings until January 2025. While I'd still consider this a "soft" launch, because I'm both temporarily handicapped and still busy with school and my day job, I have decided to quietly add appointment booking to the website. Call it a warm-up phase!
I've also gone ahead and added virtual Gift Cards to the website. I had thought of this before, although not planned on it, but then my web hosting platform suggested it, and the application to manage them seems to be very neatly integrated and easy to use. I love the idea of gift cards, because I think people very often choose to keep languishing in the inconvenience of their technological troubles, rather than spend money on themselves to have something done about it. Loved ones, though, sometimes can see the value in spending the money, and will buy a service such as those on offer at CozyTech as a gift, which makes it much easier for a person to receive support.
There is still work to do! I'd like to get reviews from previous users whom I've helped pinned to the Facebook page, and I'd like to establish a Google business page for the same purpose. At the same time, though, these seem a little more like "opening the floodgates" on business, so I may continue to hold off for now.
Thanks for checking in! As a little Easter Egg for your interest, please enjoy this photo, which torments me, because I think it is one of the best promotional photos we took, except for how unprofessional I look, having forgotten to remove my earbud at the start of the shoot!
