I'm writing with a brief update on the state of my foot and what that means for CozyTech services this Winter. As you may recall from previous posts, I went through a corrective surgery last year on my left foot, and have gone through another on my right, one year hence. Now, both of my flat feet have been reassembled into more useful ones, but the recovery road ahead is still somewhat long. As of yesterday, I've started moving from two crutches to one, although it is still pretty uncomfortable to stagger around like that.
This means, however, that the CozyTech hiatus is coming to a close. (And thanks to my first customer of the season, who booked her Saturday appointment several weeks ago, in anticipation of the end of my schedule being blocked out!)
The worst part of my recovery has been characterized by the intersection of protective accessories (a leg wrap, and then a leg cast) which prevented me from driving, and cumbersome tools (a knee scooter, and crutches, which made visiting customers nearly impossible, especially where stairs were concerned). My wife, who has begun to train as a second CozyTech technician, was able to deliver me to some appointments over the past few weeks, but I appreciate this gradual return to independence.
Put another way: I'm driving again, and with some patience on your part for my need to use crutches, I will be able to start visiting customers again this holiday season.
