I will carefully digitize (convert to a digital format) your cherished family photos, and store them on a flash drive (USB drive) for your convenience and future storage needs. The benefits of digitization are many:
Protect against physical damage - In the event of a fire, flooding, or other catastrophic event (God forbid), your photos will survive in the form of a digital backup.
Protect for posterity - With high-quality scans of your photos, you can create perfect recreations from your favorite photo service (Walgreens, CVS, Shutterfly, etc.) in the future.
Infinite copies - You can back these files up in as many places as you want (more flash drives! your home computer! the Cloud! anywhere you can think of!) at no additional cost to you. Once you have these files, they are yours to back up, copy, and share in whatever way you see fit!
And of course your photos will be returned to you in the same condition you provided them to me. I use a rapid photo scanner which is sensitive and delicate. At the slightest unpredictability, it will halt what it is doing, rather than run a photo through which may be damaged. You can trust that your photos are safe with me.
Note: $0.10 per photo, and a cost to cover the smallest suitable flash drive to store them. (Read: I will not up-sell you on a 32GB flash drive if an 8GB drive will store your photos easily).
